This is not flyfishing for the faint of heart; they are not called "The Water Wolf" to be cute.  Pike are wiley predators, who inhale flies that violate their territorial boundaries.

We use BIG tackle to target these predatory fish - 7wt rods, 6" flies, 30lb test - as well as employ kayaks or stand up paddleboards to approach them in shallow waters.

Northern pike are bulldogging sorts of thrashers rather than long-running fish and typically range from 25" to 45".  We typically run these trips May through September when the Pike fishing is at it’s best.

Equipment is provided as part of the trip at no added cost.  However, if you are looking to bring your own gear we would recommend 7 or 8 weight rods with quality reels.
